Here is my story with selected references
After receiving a degree as certified photographer from Media College Denmark, I moved to New York City.
My dream of living and working in New York City for a while became reality. Alongside assignments for magazines, I developed my fine art photography further and participated in the group show: " Life of The City " in Manhattans Museum of Modern Art.
To learn more about the craft and business, I also worked as freelance assistant for these iconic photographers:
Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair.
Albert Watson for Yahoo Magazine, Zara and Paramount Pictures.
Brigitte Lacombe for Vogue, New York Times Magazine, Time, HBO and Rolex.
These giants and yet down to earth photographers, trusted me to work as one of their assistants on portrait sessions in over 30 American states and great locations in Europe, with a wide range of talented people:
Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, Robert de Niro, Julianne Moore, Leonardo DiCaprio, Yo-Yo Ma, Jennifer Connelly, Calvin Klein, Prince, Martin Scorsese, Daniel Day Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Jessica Lange, Tom Wilkinson, Mike Nichols, Warren Beatty, Sophie Marceau, Cameron Diaz, Robert Altman, Katia and Marielle Labèque, among many others.
I was even cleared by the Secret Service in order to do my job as assistant on a Vogue portrait session of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, photographed by Brigitte Lacombe. This was in Plains, Georgia - the hometown of former President Jimmy Carter.
It was extremely rewarding to be working and learning on the elite level in the industry, a wonderful time of my life.
I returned to Denmark after nearly 3 years in New York City, the best education I could hope for, in every way.
On the way back I stopped in Paris for 6 months. Alongside commissions as photographer for Max France and others, I also worked with Ellen von Unwerth as assistant in Paris and Saint - Tropez on fashion shoots for Guess, I.D and Vogue Italia.
Since then, I´ve been based in Denmark, working on art projects and commissions as photographer.
The combined result is a long list of commercial, editorial and fine art references, with a large number of international awards.
